S.O.N.S.'s Gardens
Teaching the youth to grow their food is such an amazing experience, it helps them learn so much, stay focused, be better behaved and healthier!
S.O.N.S.'s Garden will:
- promote exercise and enjoyment of the outdoors
- provide relaxation and alleviate stress through personal and group endeavors
- connect people in our neighborhood
- encourage inter-generational and inter-cultural interactions and learning.
- enable access to fresh nutritious food
- provide a means of action locally on global issues.
Mission: to aspire a garden to inspire youth to grow and harvest produce, learn healthy food choices and the benefits of healthy food access.
Vision: S.O.N.S.'s Gardens is a place where youth of all abilities will promote health and well-being, build friendships, support community seniors, and garden sustainability.
